We have developed the Swimming NZ Registered Swim School Programme to provide Swim School operators with an industry recognised accreditation that signals their acceptance and achievement of a set of minimum standards that are a positive step towards improving the quality and safety of Swim Schools in New Zealand. The programme highlights our commitment to ensuring that anyone wanting to learn to swim can do so in a safe and trusted environment.

One of the most important life skills is learning to swim. You can help Kiwis gain this crucial skill by becoming a swim teacher. Swim teaching is an exciting and fulfilling career or pastime. The role of a swim teacher is to pass on the aquatic skills and knowledge needed to be confident and familiar with the water, enabling participation in the sport of swimming and other aquatic activities.

Coaches play a crucial role in the delivery of our sport throughout the country and creating positive swimming experiences for our community.​We partner with Swim Coaches & Teachers NZ in delivering coaching courses.
